Time In

Today I went to the movies and to dinner at the Olive Garden. The movie (2012) was good, special effects were great, dinner was good, they have the best bread sticks. The only drawback on the day was that I fell a half dozen times. Cut my finger, scraped up my knee and back and ripped a good shirt. Sometimes I just hate Parkinsons.

I remember it like it happened yesterday.....After two days of blood tests, cat-scans and other tests the Neurologist came into my room with the diagnosis. He looked at me and said "I'm sorry but you have Parkinson's" and I said to him "why are you sorry and what the hell is Parkinson's"? He then went on to explain that they don't know what causes it so there is no cure, that it is a progressive degenerative neurological disorder that only gets worse. He said I had other symptoms besides the twitch in my thumb, slowness of movement, stiffness, rigidity. Thoughts were going through my mind……how long do I have? Is it fatal? I’m only 30 years old, I have a newborn and a 2 year old….what about them?
